What: Romanian Pentecostal East Coast Youth Convention

When: Friday May 28 – Monday May 31

We’re going to drive down to Nashville, TN on Memorial Day weekend to join our sister churches from all over the east coast and midwest. We want to connect with other believers and expect to encounter God in a powerful way. Together we want to honor God’s presence and grow in Christ as we celebrate both our Christian and Romanian heritage.

30 Hour Famine

Date: Friday, April 30th – Saturday March 1st. Famine lasts from Friday 7am to Saturday 1pm.

What: We’re raising money and awareness to fight world hunger. In the month of April we’re going to be joining thousands of youth in America who are partnering together in this symbolic act of famine.

Friday night we’re going to kick-off our event at 9pm with some activities, then we’ll prepare for camping outside our church in boxes as we identify ourselves with those who have no shelter. Saturday we will wake up and have a closing ceremony, go out with Street Teams to engage in service locally, and come back to our building to end our famine at 1pm with a community lunch.

Who: Anyone who wants to participate.

Pick up your permission slips to participate in this event (or download below). We’ll be hanging out fundraising packages starting on Wednesday, April 7th when you hand in your slip.

Jesus’ Parables – Stories for Life

Jesus’ parables are a bulk of the New Testament’s teaching; we have a lot to learn about God and his kingdom through them. Come sit in on this series, where we’ll take the 40 parables bit by bit, expecting to encounter God and the life he has planned for us.

The Dirt on Drugs

It’s one of the largest industries in the world and it literally eats away at the lives of those who consume them. It’s no secret that our schools are full of them, so you deserve to know the truth on illegal drugs. Join us for a mini series on drugs, where you’ll get the facts, hear from people who lived that way for some time, and explore the abundant life that God wants you to experience in Jesus Christ. We’re gonna explore the lives of biblical characters who traded the glory of God for things that ultimately led to their destruction, much like drugs. This is where the Bible meets real life. Bring a friend!

Prayer & Fasting

For the first 3 weeks of January we will be joining our community in prayer and fasting, with an emphasis on interceding for revival and the filling of the Holy Spirit. The New Testament reveals that the filling of the Spirit is for the purpose of empowerment for living in a way that honors God plus reaching people with the Gospel message. So our services are going to be simple: come and pray! We’ll resume our regular activity on Wednesday, January 27th.

Christmas Week

Tuesday the 22nd: STREET TEAMS

We’re meeting at our church building at 3pm to make Christmas cards (and practice carols) to give to those we’ll be caroling at the American House. At 4pm we will drive the American House and visit with retirees. Come ready to spread the good news of Christmas!

Wednesday the 23rd: STREET TEAMS

At 1pm we’ll meet and then visit Grace Centers of Hope to help them unload a big truck shipment they’re getting. Stay tuned for more details. Following the Street Teams, we’re going to go have a bYouth Christmas supper back at our building. That means there will be no worship service at our church building Wednesday night.

Thursday the 24th: Caroling

Thursday night after our Christmas Eve service, we will go out to homes in our community and carol them. To attend, you must attend practice 30 mins before we leave. Church service ends at 9pm, and we’re going to start practice at 10pm so we can leave by 10:30pm. So plan on bringing your change of clothes to church with you!

Friday the 25th: No Caroling following service
